ISID/BMGF Research Capacity Building Grants (up to $7,500)
The International Society for Infectious Disease’s research grants are one of the Society’s signature programs and are instrumental in fulfilling ISID’s commitment to funding researchers from countries that bear the greatest health and economic burden from infectious diseases.
With funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), this ISID research grant opportunity seeks to provide funding for early career researchers from LMICs living and working in the field of public health. Each grant recipient will receive monetary support for the period of the grant and will be paired with a designated mentor from within ISID’s vast network of infectious disease professionals from around the world. At the end of the grant period, recipients will receive funding to attend an ISID event to present their findings. Click here to apply

Pilot Research Grant Submission 2024 (up to $35,000)
Dear GRAPPA Member, Support Submission Documents 1 GRAPPA invites junior faculty and trainees—Assistant Professor level, post-doctoral fellows, clinical fellows, residents, medical students, and MSc/PhD students—to submit proposals to GRAPPA to fund pilot projects related to psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis. NLN Nursing Education Research Grants Program (up to $27,500)
Research activities advance the NLN's goal of taking the "lead in the conduct of research that informs and promotes evidence-based teaching, advances the science of nursing education, and provides and interprets data about nursing education and the nurse educator workforce." ICTAS FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FY24 (up to $20,000)
The objective of this program is to build direct faculty-to-faculty research partnerships between faculty at Virginia Tech and faculty at HBCUs or MSIs. Faculty will self-identify partnerships based on their specific research areas. ICTAS will offer up to $10,000 per year for two years to support the faculty partnership, with up to 10 partnerships funded. Requirements for accepting the funding include presenting your project at the following year’s HBCU-MSI Summit (typically held midOctober) and participating in related, on-going diversity work and activities through ICTAS. One award will be jointly sponsored by ICTAS and the Institute for Creativity, Arts and Technology (ICAT); submissions designated for this award must include a significant arts and/or design component. TGF’s Grant Research program (up to $75,000)
The Glaucoma Foundation offers grants to researchers striving to improve the lives of glaucoma patients through novel innovations and scientific advances. The areas of current focus for TGF’s Grant Research program are Exfoliation Syndrome and Exfoliation Glaucoma, Pressure Independent Mechanisms of Glaucoma, Neuroprotection, and Genetics of Glaucomas that affect people under the age of 40 years. Examples of research that may be considered range from basic science to clinical interventions, such as genetics and genomic medicine, disease modeling, assessment of ocular perfusion, artificial intelligence, and clinical research.
The deadline for grant applications is March 1, 2024. A priority will be given to novel proposals with a viable study hypothesis leading to impactful results that are fundable at the NIH level. Initial grant funding for one year is for up to $75,000; a grantee is permitted to apply for a grant renewal of up to $75,000. A renewal grant is a one-year grant based on research findings from the initial research. Click here to apply
Esther Katz Rosen Fund Grants (up to $50,000)
The Esther Katz Rosen Fund* was established in 1974 by a generous bequest intended to support “…activities related to the advancement and application of knowledge about gifted children.”
